Master Plan 2050 - launched on Wednesday 1 April 2026
Thank you to everyone who engaged with us on the Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan 2050. We received some very considered and thoughtful feedback, and recognise and appreciate the passion the community has for the future of Sydney Olympic Park.
The finalisation of Master Plan 2050 follows extensive public and stakeholder consultation, with changes incorporated based on stakeholder and community input.
Overview - a connected community built around people
Master Plan 2050 is transforming Sydney Olympic Park into a complete, liveable suburb — a place where homes, jobs, open spaces and community facilities come together to support everyday life as well as major events.
At its heart, Master Plan 2050 focuses on people: creating welcoming neighbourhoods, high quality public spaces and the social infrastructure needed for a thriving community.

How we got here
The new vision for Sydney Olympic Park is to be Sydney’s Beating Green Heart - a place that is energised with everyday life, is country-first and nature-positive and is where Sydney comes to play.

The Strategic Place Framework forms the strategic planning basis of the Master Plan. The Place Framework starts to identify where in Sydney Olympic Park the aspirations in the Vision will be realised on the ground. This work is then developed into precinct controls in the Master Plan 2050.

The consultation period closed 5pm, 29 November 2024.
Master Plan 2050 reflects what we heard during community and stakeholder engagement and sets the conditions for place priorities to be realised by 2050.
