Changed parking conditions in the parklands

Sydney Olympic Park is changing the parking conditions for parkland areas to improve the experience for visitors and to support the ongoing management of the parklands.

This is in response to community feedback that access to parking can be difficult, particularly on weekends and during holidays.

Introduced in February 2025, there will be new parking conditions in Bicentennial Park, Blaxland Riverside Park and Parklands Junction (P5b + P5c).

You must always register your vehicle plate number (excluding mobility parking permit holders). The first two hours of parking will be free and is applied one time only per day, per vehicle. If you move to other parklands areas with these same parking conditions the two hours free period does not begin again. After the initial 2-hour free period, a parking fee will apply:

  • $3 per hour fee on weekdays, and
  • $5 per hour fee on weekends.

The changed parking conditions will initially apply to Bicentennial Park, Blaxland Riverside Park and the parklands junction: P5b (URBNSURF) and P5c (Pump Track and BMX Track). Following the completion of Stage 1, the remaining areas in the parklands will be scheduled to follow soon after.

How will this be implemented?

The parking conditions will be implemented using the PayStay app, along with physical meters and touch and go devices. All payment will be cashless. You can choose credit card, debit card, pre-paid card, Apple or Google Pay. The app is available on Android (Play Store) and IOS (App Store). If you can't use or access the App, a meter in each area will be available for credit card use.

Customers will be required to register their vehicles by entering their number plate and nominating how long they intend to park. Once your vehicle is registered you receive the 2 hour free period. If a stay needs to be extended, you can do this with a few taps on your mobile when using the app, or alternatively, use the meters again.
