Site Works in Sydney Olympic Park
Site works for maintenance and repairs happen from time to time in Sydney Olympic Park. This page provides information on projects of high interest to our community or where there is an expectation for disruption.
This page does not offer an exhaustive list of the various maintenance activities occurring daily in the normal operations of managing and caring for our places and parklands.
Roads within the Park may be
closed to support events and site works. Up to date road closures can be
found on our interactive map by selecting the road closures icon in the top left-hand side menu and
selecting a date.
* Power Outage - Blaxland Riverside Park & Newington Armory *
Ausgrid have scheduled a planned power outage affecting Blaxland Riverside Park and Newington Armory from 7am to 8pm on Saturday 30 May 2026.
During this time some facilities will be unavailable:
- Amenities will be closed. There will be
temporary toilet units available at Armory Wharf, Blaxland Riverside Park
and in Newington Armory. There will also be accessible toilets available
in these areas. The toilet units will be cleaned regularly throughout the
day by our cleaning team.
- The water features and water play area at
Blaxland Riverside Park will be closed for the day, but the rest of the playground
will be open.
- Water bubblers will not be operational.
Visitors are advised to bring their own water.
- The BBQs located in these areas will not
be operational. You are permitted to bring your own gas or charcoal BBQ as
long as a Total Fire Ban is NOT in place. More information can be found on
our website.
If
you’re planning a day out, there are playgrounds throughout BicentennialPark where children can play, as well as a playground and picnic area at WentworthCommon. If the family would prefer to swim they can head to the Aquatic Centre
(entry fees apply).
