* Notice of recycled water outage - Monday 4 May 2026 *
Sydney Olympic Park’s recycled water network is undergoing major remediation to address ageing infrastructure and ensure the long‑term reliability of this essential service.
Residents and businesses in Sydney Olympic Park and Newington are advised that the recycled water network will be temporarily shut down for up to 24-hours, from 5:00am on 4 May 2026 to 4:49am on 5 May 2026. This shutdown will affect the supply of recycled water to commercial premises, venues and residents.
During this period, recycled water will be unavailable for toilet flushing and garden irrigation. Drinking water from taps and sinks will not be affected.
These works are essential to securing a safe, reliable and sustainable recycled water network for the future.
Sydney Olympic Park Authority understands the inconvenience this may cause and has scheduled these works to be completed as efficiently as possible. The Authority will be working continuously during the shutdown period to restore services as quickly as possible and minimise disruption to the community.
