The trial part of the Neighbours Nurturing Nature project is just about ready to go - we've been working with community members and Sydney Olympic Park internal departments to find a location we can work on to achieve the goals of the project.

The site has been picked and our first task will be to survey the area to get some baseline information so we'll have something to compare against in years to come.

But even before that, we could all do with some brushing up of our bird and animal identification skills. We intend to have a session with a Birdlife Australia Volunteer to help us to make accurate observations.

You'll hear more about all of this in the coming weeks, but for now, could you please indicate your availability for dates in September so we can schedule the session and surveys.
