Clean Up Australia Day was on March 3rd this year and saw volunteers and staff collect 48 bags of rubbish from Haslams Flats in a massive effort to improve the area for the local wildlife and residents.

Despite our routine efforts to clear storm water, litter spreads across the waterways surrounding the Park, the volume of collected rubbish remains surprising. From car headlights to polystyrene, nerf bullets to plastic flowers and more, our commitment to cleanliness continues to uncover a diverse array of waste.

Many thanks to the dedicated volunteers from the community for making a local effort in this nationwide initiative. with over 400 metres covered in a 2-hour session, this clean up will have a significant impact on the local environment and is a great example of how people power can make a difference.
