Asset upgrades

Based on community feedback from the Homify project, the following new public domain amenities were completed or started in 2020-21 in the four Homify sites

• Jacaranda Square – new water refill station including dog water bowl, plug n play outdoor stage, community notice board, moveable park furniture, community bike repair hub, storage boxes, replacement umbrellas
• Pop-Up Park - new moveable park furniture and community notice board

Following works also respond to community feedback from the Homify project, even though they are not part of the four Homify sites. The feedback from the Homify project was used to inform some planning and prioritisation in these projects.

• Cathy Freeman Park – soft fall resurfacing
• Blaxland Riverside Park – soft fall/synthetic turf resurfacing and replacement of shade umbrellas
• Wentworth Common – soft fall resurfacing, play element refurbishments, replacement of shade umbrellas
• BBQ system upgrade to existing picnic areas in parklands started

In addition, the following works are scheduled for completion in 2022:

• Bicentennial Park West - new 1000m2 Accessible and Inclusive play space and 3000m2 dog off leash area
• Central Linear Park Stage – new 700m2 play space, outdoor fitness station, community meeting area, BBQ, picnic settings, community noticeboard and accessible amenities
